Chicago Delivered By Irish Ken |
It’s a long way from Tipperary as the song
goes, but when you think about it, that makes Dublin, Ireland a rather far
piece from Chicago Rockford International where an Irish native-born son
is Cargo Marketing Manager. Meet Kenneth Ryan, who at CNS this week was talking up the attributes of Chicago Rockford in some rather explicit terms. “Because of openness of our skies and ease of operations through our gateway, a shipper can move goods into Rockford for delivery to the cargo area of Elk Grove Village, which serves O’Hare International faster than a flight that lands at ORD. “When you consider time and cost,” Ryan says, with a smile, “we are the expressway to Chicago.” Apparently Chicago Rockford has something going on, as UPS & Amazon operate from the gateway. Chicago Rockford currently has cargo facilities abuilding, and with 3,000 plus acres of land, room to grow. |
