All Dogs Go To Heaven

Chips Puppy Bowl

As the Super Bowl football game plays out on television sets around the world during the evening of Sunday February 8th, with the hope that by that time the snows will finally start to retreat in New York City, we recall a past experience in which we learned that not everybody thinks watching the big game carries equal importance.
Recall a Super Bowl Season some years ago as Mr. Chips, our rescue cocker spaniel, pictured here under a piano leg, learned from one of his pals at the dog run at the park that The Puppy Bowl is broadcast every year on Sunday just prior to the people’s biggest football game.
So that year, hoping we got the message Mr. Chips just sat there balefully staring at us wondering why we didn't tune in for his big event.
Been a long time since the last TV fight in our house, but right now we are set for the 2026 Puppy Bowl on Sunday, Feb. 8, featuring rescue pups from across the U.S. broadcast on Animal Planet, Discovery, TBS, truTV, HBO Max, or Discovery at 2:00PM ET/11:00AM PT.
Puppy Bowl is a worthwhile watch in 2026 with more adoptable puppies from shelters and rescues than ever before.
For us, with a tip of the hat to the memory of Mr. Chips, we will celebrate The New England Patriots (17-3) and Seattle Seahawks (16-3) encounter at Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara later on February 8th, whilst Lulu, our in-residence puppy, has the option to watch her show earlier and elect to repair elsewhere later for Puppy Bowl reruns.
