      High-flying Rick Elieson, a 20-year veteran with American Airlines who most recently oversaw a USD$3 billion operation across 40 countries as VP – Global Partner Marketing, has been named President of American Cargo.
      'Speed' Elieson reports to Jim Butler, who recently moved from President Cargo to Senior Vice President-International and Cargo.
      “We often look at Cargo as an airline within an airline,” Jim said.
      “Leading this fantastic team requires a wide range of experience, which Rick brings to the position.
      “Rick Elieson’s history in leading large-scale strategic partnerships, pricing and revenue management and complex technology implementations, combined with his goal of building collaborative and empowered teams, is the perfect recipe for supporting the future success of our Cargo division,” Jim Butler said.
      AA said that Rick will be transitioning into his new role over the next several weeks, with a series of town hall type events in a meet and greet series with staff and customers around the world.
