BIFA Backs Multimodal May

BIFA Backs Multimodal May

Ian Matheson writes that Birmingham, UK, is “one of the homes of the Industrial Revolution.” That works for air cargo, since BIFA—the British International Freight Association—appears in Birmingham at Multimodal 2016 from May 10-12, 2016.
“BIFA uses Multimodal 2016 as its prime annual event to showcase the Association’s offerings to logistics visitors from all over the country,” Ian reports.

BIFA Director General Robert Keen says that a number of seminar and workshop sessions are being staged to keep visitors up-to-date with the latest logistics trends, and there will be “hands-on learning opportunities on new legislation such as the EU Customs Code and the Home Office Hauler Accreditation Scheme.”
Panel discussions will cover topics including the impact of mega ships, e-freight challenges, the future of rail freight, and the future of airports in the UK.
