IATA Plays Through CNS Partnership
CNS Partnership Conference 2021

Time To Play Through CNS Phoenix?
Looking up conferences taking place or hoping to this year 2022 brings us to CNS Partnership Conference, but you can no longer find the listing for the proposed event scheduled to be held in Phoenix May 23-26 on the CNS website.
Now updated CNS announcements are listed along with more than 300 pictures of last year’s Partnership Conference held in Miami (August 29-31) on the IATA website.
For about two years since the great Mike White “I Like Mike” retired as CNS President, it seems that organization as a free-standing entity has been in slow decline.
The idea that was alive for more than 30 years, from Tony Calabrese, the first CNS President to Mike White, who retired two years ago, was to operate CNS Conference as an organization with a distinct U.S. voice strengthening the airline forwarder partnership, separate from IATA as the U.S. was, and remains a unique and leading global trading market.
That idea looks to be over unless enough people show up for Sun ‘n Fun and to play golf in 2022. The CNS website has not been updated since last August and its future plan based on its last meeting pictured on the IATA website lists almost no content for the Phoenix event but does include 389 pictures with at least two-thirds of them spotlighting golf & dinner.
Whether or not golf and deals and meals will be enough to draw the needed support from the airlines and customers is an open question.
